Care-a-vanner Welcome Dinners

Habitat for Humanity RV Care-a-vanners are dedicated volunteers who travel the country in their RVs, stopping at Habitat affiliates to contribute their skills on construction sites. During their stay with us, our Care-a-vanners give several hundred hours of their time, and we are so grateful for their commitment to our mission.

One thing that makes Care-a-vanning unique, though, is that it can be an isolated experience. At some affiliates, Care-a-vanners work without ever meeting other volunteers or Habitat staff. We do things differently here. We want them to feel welcomed into our community, and that means bringing people together. If you'll be working alongside them on the jobsite, we'd love to see you at dinner too. And if you won't be meeting them on site, such as our Store volunteers, this dinner is especially for you. Come introduce yourself!

We warmly invite all volunteers, along with their friends and family, to join us for a Welcome Dinner in their honor. These are wonderful opportunities to connect, share a meal, and celebrate the work we do together.

We ask that each guest bring a dish to share. It doesn't need to be elaborate, but please bring it ready to serve. Serving utensils, plates, and everything else you'll need to enjoy the meal will be provided. Habitat will contribute on behalf of staff, future homeowners, and any volunteers who are unable to bring an item. If that's you, just reach out to Amy; no shame!
