From Foundations to Friendships: Your Impact in Action

At a recent ceremony at Cliff Street Cottages, we witnessed something beautiful: a young girl reached out her hand to another and said, “Come play in my new home.”

A simple invitation marked the start of a friendship and a future. Two children, two families, connected by something powerful: safe, affordable homes.

Homeownership feels out of reach for many in Jefferson County, where the median price tops $650,000. But together, we are changing that.

Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County is building 20 homes for 20 families. Six homes at Cliff Street Cottages are nearly complete, and foundations are being poured for 14 more at Landes Terrace.

Your support makes this possible. It bridges the gap between construction costs and what families can afford, ensuring mortgages do not exceed one-third of income.

Give today to help build homes, hope, and community in East Jefferson County. Visit https://bit.ly/20homes-20familieshttps://bit.ly/20homes-20families to donate.

Landes Terrace: A Home for the Holidays, and Every Day After

As the days grow colder, it’s easy to get caught up in the season’s hustle and bustle. Lights are strung up, our budgets stretch to buy that perfect gift, and long-term plans often wait until spring thaws our schedules. Even when it feels like there’s no time to ourselves, we still find moments to dream. We envision brighter futures, days ahead filled with both stability and growth.

Nothing sustains future health, education, and financial progress more than owning a home. Rising costs aside, buying a new home, even on the open market, takes time. The traditional process often takes 6 months or longer, while buying a Habitat home (at half the market rate and with no required down payment) can take 9-18 months.
Imagine next holiday season. Picture your own warm kitchen filled with the smell of cinnamon and cloves. Imagine shared laughter in your own living room, lingering long after the season ends. Buying your own affordable Habitat Home in 2026 is possible, but only if you apply now.

We have only a few more homes available to buy in Landes Terrace: a 14-home, permanently affordable neighborhood situated just across from Safeway and the Jefferson County transit center in Port Townsend. It’s designed for people who want to own a home that’s fair-priced, well-located, and built to last.
This holiday season, dream big and give yourself the gift of a permanently affordable place to call home. Apply to buy a Landes Terrace home and step into a future filled with warmth, security, and possibility.
